چکیده
ABSTRACT Green synthesis of nanoparticles has received a lot attention from scientists globally because it is eco-friendly, relatively rapid, and cost-effective method. This work presents method for the green nickel oxide (NiO-NPs) using leaf extracts Populus ciliata as reducing stabilising agent. The synthesised NiO-NPs were characterised by ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission microscopy. It was found that shapes varied, highly crystalline, had face-centred cubic geometry. calculated crystallite size 44 nm. Moreover, antibacterial activity also conducted against Gram-positive bacteria (Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus licheniformis) Gram-negative (Escherichia coli Klebsiella pneumoniae). subtillus showed maximum inhibition zone 28.1±1.6 mm, whereas pneumonia minimum 9.2±0.5 mm. increased with an increase in concentration NiO-NPs. Keywords: activity, synthesis, nanoparticles, NiO, ciliata.
